Mrs. Griffin has Bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Georgia, and a Master’s in Gifted Education from UCCS. She worked as a GT pullout teacher with D-11, and guest taught with the SAIL program. She was a counselor at a wilderness hospital for emotionally disturbed children, and at a home for runaway teens. Mrs. Griffin was also the art director for the El Pomar and Tutt Boys & Girls Clubs. Before coming to AACL, she was the instructional coordinator for Pikes Peak One + One Tutoring for 10 years, where she delighted in turning struggling readers into lovers of books! Mrs. Griffin has three children of her own, and understands the challenges and joys of parenting gifted and twice exceptional children. She loves to teach, read, hike, garden, and learn new things.
